Hey there, Welcome to Koko Vida. We are Kiefa & Jake the faces behind the brand and we reside on the sunny Gold Coast in Australia, yewww. Jake is a marine teacher at a local high school on the G.C. and Kiefa a photographer and the brains behind our other small business Insta Kombi photo booth.

Koko Vida - How it all began

Koko Vida slowly came to life after a recent trip to Sayulita Mexico in Feb 2020. We both fell in love with the woven textiles on offer & fell even more in love with their woven throw rugs.

When March 2020 rolled around, our small business in the events industry Insta Kombi almost instantly went into hibernation. After putting our heart and soul into it for 6 years and getting the carpet pulled from underneath us we were almost defeated. It was demoralising. But like most people in our scenario, we started to re-connect with our mates and family. We were making up for 6 years of lost weekends. You know, the camping trips, spending a day at the beach, hanging around a fire late at night singing our hearts out to Jimmy Barnes and The Doors. We were starting to appreciate the small things again.

But when you have been so busy for so long it's hard to just stop in your tracks. Kiefa, not one to sit around needed a creative outlet again so she began designing our first rug. Fast forward over a year and here we are. 

If the last year has taught us anything it's that time doesn't stop so live in the now. Sometimes life encourages you to get outside and hang with mates or set off on that adventure and Koko Vida does too. We can't wait to see where this adventure takes us!
